Trip to Mexico ....GRUTAS DE ..TOLANTONGO.....

                                    

Another exciting memorable  trip for me ,infact for  both of  us was THE TOLANTONGO trip,,Well  it  sounds quite  weird but believe me  guys its an amazing place to visit..

We boarded tourist  bus from mexico  city and  these time  we were  not  alone,,My  husband's friend and  his  wife  with his  sweet  kid  were also  with us,I  know if  Litan Das (Litan da)  and Suparna Das( Suparna ) are reading my blog ,then hope  they  will enjoy  ,,,,It  was  almost   4  hrs  journey and  we  reached  the  spot  at  2.30pm.We were new  and  we  did not  know  that there were no  availability of  hotels..It was a meer  shock for  all  of  us but  at  a glance  when i got time  to look around ,it was like a feeling of  adventure and excitement altogether within..Wow it was like a  place so  much  of  adventure...

Yet  we  didn't  know that  something adventurous  was there waiting for us..You all might be thinking of  what ,but  yes  it was a  new  experiment for me,We  didnt  get hotel but we  managed a Tent to  live  in for  that  night..And  it was more  exciting as many  people were njying their  living in the  tent..How much  fun it  would  be  to  live  in a tent...OMG!!  I  was  superrrrrrr excited as  i  always  wanted  something   adventurous....in the  trip..
After the  tent management was  completed  we  all  went  for  sight scene but OMG!!.....Suddenly my eyes  got stucked  into  the  scenic  beauty ..It was  marvellous and  exotic too...
Now let  me  tell  you  briefly  about the  place  and  history  behind Grutas de  Tolantongo,

It  comprises

.The  Resort is made  up of  three hotel  complexes  and heated pools near the  bottom of a steep  box  canyon that  has  got  walls  of  500  m high.The main attraction is two  grottos at the canyon closed  end out  of  which  flows a  volcanically heated river that  follows  the  canyon floor.Above the  grotto  is a  tunnel,a  small  cavern  15 mtrs deep in which warm water showers those  who  ventures inside

The  River is  also  called  Tolantongo as  its  also pleasantly warm and  picks up mineral  salts as  it  passes.The  main excitement or real  thing is that when the water comes  from a  complex  series  of  channels,inside  mountain its  heated  about  20  degree.

The  Grottos-As per  my  observation there  are  two  grottos.these  grottos  are  classified  as  caves which are bounded by  stalagmites and  stalactites.It was a  rare feeling to  touch them and  feel  them..

On the  first  day  when we  reached  there  we  had a superb time spending in  river,,,..the  water was  so  warm and  pleasant ..It  felt like  I  should  stay  there  all  day  all  time..After enjoying ,we both of  the  families decided  to  go  for  lunch and  lunch  was like  a  picnic...it  was  all  home  made  food  made  by  me  and  their  family,and  all we  did  in the  tent.....In the  evening ,when the  sun was  setting in and  whispering  birds chymes were  tingling...it was becoming  dark and  adventurous...We  thought  of  another initiative..BONFIRE...Yes ...beside  our  tent we did  our  bonfire,,and  it  was  an  awesome  experience where we  were  tapping  our  foots  with  the  groove  of  music  and all  mexicans were busy in  bonfire  too ,eating pork and  drinking  beer,,.I  still  remember the  time  and  location..It  was  little  bit  cold and  windy...the  sounds of the river were also njying  with us,.,A  mystry  night  all  over ..It was the  first  time in my  life where i  lived  in a TENT and  had a bonfire ...Till midnight  we  had  our  dinner  there  only  ...with bonfire,music and  river  chymes tapping  and  grooving  with us........I  wish  i  could again visit the place  and enjoy  again and  again..

The very  next  day  we  were  again ready  for  our  next venture,The  cave  sight..It  was an  enormous  feeling and  enthralling...Though  me  and  my  hubby we  both  dnt  know  swimming but  no  matter ,the  place is  well  protected  side  by  ropes  and  you  can  even  enjoy the feeling  without  any  hastle..Inside the  caves  were  Stalagmites  and  the  water was  warm,,,,It  was  like a  dream with  bundles  of  excitement all  around.More  than 3  hrs we  were  there and  again  we went  to the river  side...All  day  was like a day with water...and  water...So  refreshing and mindblowing that  words  are not  enough to jot  down...But its through this blog only I am bestowing my feelings  within..

You all might be  wondering about  what  happened  next??? The very  common thing...after lunch  we  departed from that place around 4 pm and  by  bus we  reached our  destination home  around 11,.30pm.Though the  journey was  long and  hectic  lil bit but you  know what ,this  place was like a lifetime achievement  for me to visit.I  wish i could  visit  again in my  span of  time in MEXICO...
